Brunngård was founded by the Brunngård family in 1983. The family has always aimed to deliver the highest value to its customers, through a clear business model and great products that make a difference.
We are based in Borås in the southwest of Sweden and operate through our owned 10,000 sqm office and logistics property. We have four Nordic sales offices and a large international network of distributors and resellers.
We are some 30 committed employees who combine our experience with entrepreneurial thinking and an ambitious mindset.
The Nordic region is our home market and where we set the standard for everything we do. In addition to the Nordic region, we sell our products on more than 30 markets and more than 7,000 points of sale.
By being responsive and always open to innovation and development, Brunngård has created a well-renowned name and several brands being sought after internationally. The brands all share the same purpose – to support an active lifestyle and to promote a reuse society.
A Brief History of Brunngård
The company is founded by Madeleine and Per-Ola Brunngård in Sparsör, Sweden. A family with entrepreneurship that is passionate about creating value.
The first external company building was purchased and renovated appropriately for the business .
A complete range of shoe care articles is created, market shares are taken directly for shoe related accessories
The first own brand is registered, when it was created then creativity flowed, if you translate Brunngård into English it becomes Springyard…
The first board with external members is formed. Through a clear ownership directive, conditions for growth is established.
The son Paul Brunngård buys the company from his parents and his sister. The development of the next steps starts with a brand manual and a new logo.
The company grows through a well-developed business model and new customers are added at a fast pace. It reaches its position as a market leader in shoe-related accessories field in the Nordic region.
Inter IKEA enters as owner and acquires 50% of the company for further development.
Paul Brunngård buys back the company with three semi-operational entrepreneurs to start the next growth phase.
The ingredient brand “Powered by EXPRO” is launched and the company now sees the whole world as its market. With a clear business model and products that hold the highest class in the world to extend the life of core products.
